Facebook’s Portal bright screen does more than merely making the calls. It can be used to watch videos, playing games and finding the local weather. You can narrate stories to your children with its help.

1. Get the apps
You might be knowing that you can play Spotify, iHeart Radio and Pandora playlists by swiping towards left. Don't just stop there; you can also get add-ons by merely tapping on Portal App icon. It isn't a huge deal to select the app now. Facebook has announced that the selection will soon be increasing.

2. Watch videos and play games.
You will see a selection of apps when you swipe left from home screen. One of them will be named watch. The name won't clue you in everything you do. Use it, and you will be directed to Facebook videos, play games such as PUBG, Cuphead and Far Cry 5. You can watch videos that you have saved from your facebook timeline. Just swipe and click on whatever you want to watch.

3. You can control where people call you
It can be made that people only call Portal when you are at your home. Swipe left from the home screen and click on Settings>Incoming Call Settings>Only when home. Head over to your phone and confirm that you are willing to use the Home and Away feature. The calls will now automatically go to your phone.

4. Tell stories
If you want to have a video call with those cute little kids in your life, then the story feature is going to be your next favorite thing. It will permit you to tell a story with the help of story filters. Stories choices will come up with some interesting stuff such as The Three Little Pigs; Mary Had a Little Lamb etc. Get started by clicking Story Time icon on the bottom of the screen. You will be presented with some story options. Click on the story you want.

5. Turn on the notifications for your favorites
You can just set up an alert when your preferences are going to be active on the facebook. Click the favorited person’s icon on home screen. Click on “i” icon in the upper right corner. Swipe on the Activity Notification option. Your Portal will make a noise to let you know that the person has become active.

6. Add  your local weather to the superframe
You will be able to see recent weather at a glance with Weather Superframe settings. Click on Setings>Superframe. Toggle on Weather option.

7. Zoom in
If you are facing difficulty in seeing and you your readers then just head over to Settings>Accessibility and switch on Triple tap for the magnification.

8. You can easily add some other accounts.
There must be some of your friends and family members that want to use your Portal. Don't worry; you can easily add up to a maximum of four accounts. Open Settings>Accounts>Add an Account. Just follow the onscreen directions. Once the account is set up, your friends can access their contacts and swiftly make calls to your Portal.

9. Put yourself in the spotlight
This feature basically keeps the camera on a particular person. To turn on the Spotlight, double tap on the featured person’s face. You will see a green square with a notification saying Spotlight On. While you are finished starring the person, tap on the bottom right corner of the screen. Select Off.
